Description Technical Specs   The typical structure of server-based computing environments consists of local networks and individual workstations linked together via narrow bandwidth connections - dial up connections, lease lines - to form one Wide Area Network (WAN). All applications are made available to the connected workstations via a server or a server farm. Insufficient usable bandwidth is one of the key issues here - especially when it comes to printing. Large or frequent print jobs put a heavy strain on the network infrastructure, up to blocking all of the usable bandwidth or even causing a total connection breakdown. The ThinPrint_ Gateway TPG60, developed in cooperation with our partner ThinPrint_ GmbH, is a solution for such server-based computing environments with up to six network printers - especially for branch offices and workgroup printing. The TPG60 features an integrated ThinPrint_ .print client 6.2 for the non-invasive compression of print jobs. Due to the integrated innovative ThinPrint_ technology, users profit from optimized bandwidth control and the compression of print jobs, which are decompressed by the TPG60 and can then be sent to six network printers. The obvious advantage of this solution: Only one ThinPrint_ client, integrated in the TPG, is necessary - the output devices do not need an extra ThinPrint_ client. At the remote site, no personal computer or other local print server is needed - the TPG60 is entirely sufficient, reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO) per printer significantly. Moreover, the TPG60 not only decompresses the print jobs, but is also able to decode ThinPrint_ SSL encryption, thus contributing to a highly secure print data transmission. The device also supports the latest features of ThinPrint_ technology: Due to ThinPrint_ AutoConnect and ThinPrint_ Connection Services, TPG60 can be integrated into a ThinPrint_ environment easily and comfortably, facilitating management and administration of the device even further.
